A wet and wild ride for region

YESTERDAY'S rain deluge may have seemed to be over by late afternoon, but the Bureau of Meteorology says more rain is to come.

Rockhampton BoM weather observer Brendan Bradford said there are some light to moderate rainfalls of between 10 and 40mm that are expected to move through Capricornia today.

He said while there were still some isolated showers and thunderstorm still to come, the skies should be clear by the weekend.

"We are expecting a maximum of 30 degrees on Saturday," Mr Bradford said.

He said there would be patchy rain/drizzle on Friday morning before it starts to clear up.

Mr Bradford said with all the water on the ground, Saturday could be a sticky, humid day.
