  • 7am: Activ Gracemere Starlight Children's Foundation fundraiser at 6 Alexander Crt, Gracemere. There will be a gold coin sausage sizzle and the club duo, The ASKINS will be playing live throughout the day.
  • 8am: Gracemere Lions Markets at Conaghan Park, Lawrie St, Gracemere. Come along and browse a variety of stalls. Entry is free.
  • 8.30am: Small Landholder's Day at Swan Park (AFL grounds) in Arthur St, Yeppoon. Entry is free and event will finish at 3.30pm. Call 4999 2842 for more details.
  • 9am: The Handmade Expo at Rockhampton Showgrounds will host over 100 stallholders from 9am-2pm. Entry and parking is free.
  • 9am: Snap Fitness Grand Opening at Aquatic Place. BBQ and free jumping castle available.
  • 10am: Grit and Crisp Scooter demo and comp at Rockhampton skate park, next to PCYC. Watch the hottest riders in Australia pull some stunts and tricks. Age group competitions will follow demo. A helmet must be worn.
  • 10am: Free lessons and skateboarding workshops at West Rockhampton Skate Park, Lions Creek Rd. Until 11.30am. Please bring skateboard, helmet and sunscreen.
  • 10am: RACQ Capricorn Rescue Family Open Day at the RACQ Hanger on Canoona Rd. Face painting, sausage sizzle, rides and photos with the chopper and crew available on the day.
  • 11am: Bunning's Warehouse adult workshop - Outdoor Building Project D.I.Y. Workshop (Also on at 12.30pm and 2pm).
  • 2pm: Yeehar! Slip on your cowboy boots and try some line-dancing moves with members of the Folly Foot Line Dancers at the Rockhampton Regional Library. Entry is free and class is on until 3.30pm.
  • 6pm: Keppel Coast Country Music Club is holding a function at 61 Millroy Drv Yeppoon. Live, music, dancing, barbecue and licensed bar. Entry is free.
  • 7pm: Rockhampton Girl's Grammar School presents Girls Rock at the Rockhampton Pilbeam Theatre. All Tickets $10.
  • 7pm: Top Guns Rodeo Series at The Great Western Hotel on the corner of Denison and Stanley sts.
  • 7.30pm: Journey Through the Cosmos - International superstar physicist Professor Brian Cox and the Queensland Symphony Orchestra will collaborate in a world first theatrical and orchestral presentation at Riverside Park. Entry is free and you'll need to bring a picnic blanket or folding chair.

  • 9am: Khanacross Driftkhana, hosted by CQ Drift Alliance at Gracemere Saleyards.
  • 10am: Cawarral Market Day at Cawarral Store Grounds until 2pm.
  • 11am: Bunning's Warehouse adult workshop - Outdoor Building Project D.I.Y. Workshop (Also on at 12.30pm and 2pm).
  • 2pm: Guide Dogs QLD monster cent sale at Rockhampton League's Club with over 300 prizes to be won. Afternoon tea provided.
