Wheels back for funeral

WHEN Jay Cotter drives to Peter Cotter’s funeral today, the mag wheels will grace his dad’s car because a thoughtful thief had a change of heart.

A grateful Laura Cotter, Mr Cotter’s daughter, said yesterday an anonymous person rang late Friday night letting the family know where they could recover the stolen items.

“The family wants to thank that person for letting us know,” she said.

The mag wheels Mr Cotter had ordered for his Ford Capri had arrived at his home just hours after he died from a heart attack on Tuesday. But the next day Laura and Jay Cotter awoke to find the wheels had been stolen from the shed. The mag wheels were to be fitted to the vehicle which Mr Cotter’s son was to drive to the funeral.
