Year 12 student has eye on Abbott's job

CHAY Conaglen is aiming for the top job in Australia, after getting a first hand look at what it's all about.

The Rockhampton High School student had a dream come true when he met Prime Minister Tony Abbott at a community lunch yesterday.

Chay said his dream job would be to become prime minister one day, and he is well and truly on his way.

The Grade 12 student will head to Canberra to deliver a speech to the nation's leaders in December after taking out first prize in the My First Speech competition.

The speech involved Chay having to imagine he was a newly elected MP.

"It was really good to meet the prime minister, I didn't think I'd get to meet him," Chay said.
