Win $1000 playing Jump Lotto

YOU’VE heard of regular lotto, you’ve even heard of chook lotto. Well now the Rocky show has Jump Lotto – from 7000 feet. But don’t worry – the public won’t leave the safety of the showgrounds.

Jump Lotto involves skydivers landing on or near specific marker discs. Before the jump, the public can buy a disc for $2 which is then placed in the landing zone in centre ring. The disc closest to the correct skydiver will win $1000.

Sky Warriors, one of Australia’s leading skydiving display teams, will jump from their plane from anything from 2000 to 7000 feet above the Rockhampton showgrounds on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 7 and 8, aiming at centre ring.

Show committee chair Cr Graeme Brady said that skydiving was always a popular event.

“This will give it an extra dimension, and it is something that everyone can be involved in,” Cr Brady said.

Discs will be on sale from the skydivers’ tent, near the main gate.

Sky Warriors’ Jump Lotto is just one of the many entertainment activities scheduled for the Rockhampton Show including monster trucks, pro wrestling, freestyle motocross and roving street entertainers.

The Rockhampton Show will run from Tuesday, June 7, to Thursday, June 9, from 9am at the Rockhampton Showgrounds, Wandal. People’s Day public holiday is Wednesday, June 8. Pre-purchased tickets are available from the showgrounds office, the Pilbeam Theatre and Stockland Rockhampton information desk until close of business on June 6.

The Rockhampton Show is a Rockhampton Regional Council event and is sponsored by Stockland Rockhampton.
