Win has United heading in right direction

ADELAIDE United's rise continued at Coopers Stadium, beating Western Sydney 1-0 yesterday.

It was the first time the Reds reached the top four since round four.

The Wanderers looked tired playing their third game in eight days.

The hosts scored their winner early, Marcelo Carrusca finding the back of the net in the fourth minute after a Bruce Djite pass.

The Wanderers only had two shots on target; in the 14th minute through Shinji Ono, and in the 76th minute through Brendon Santalab.

Adelaide was denied a second goal in the dying minutes with Jeronimo's close-range shot blocked.
