Woman allegedly supplied drug to man prior to his death

DETECTIVES investigating the death of a 42-year-old man at Mermaid Waters yesterday have charged a 37-year-old woman with supplying a dangerous drug.

Just before 5pm police were called to an Oceanic Drive address where the man was located deceased.

It will be alleged a woman had supplied the drug Fentanyl to the man prior to his death.

A 37-year-old woman has been charged with one count of supplying a dangerous drug and is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on Monday.

Investigations are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the man's death.
