Woman, 81, dead after being hit by bus
A WOMAN has died after being hit by a bus in Sydney's west.
Two ambulance crews arrived at the scene within 10 minutes of the incident, which occurred just after 10am this morning.
The pedestrian sustained critical injuries when the bus hit her at a bus terminal on North Terrace in Bankstown.
The woman, aged 81, was treated at the scene before she was taken to Liverpool Hospital, where she died.
The bus driver, a 64-year-old man, was taken to Bankstown Hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.

Emergency services were called to Bankstown City Plaza bus interchange to reports of a crash involving a bus and a pedestrian.
The bus interchange has been closed.
A crime scene has been established and will be forensically examined.
