Woman flown to Brisbane after Keppel boating accident

A 24-YEAR-OLD woman was flown to Brisbane yesterday after a boating accident on Great Keppel Island.

RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service was tasked to the island about 2.45pm on Saturday.

The woman was riding in an inflatable boat with friends when she fell overboard.

She sustained lacerations to her head, arm and back when the propeller struck her.

An off-duty doctor treated her on scene while the rescue helicopter made its way to the island.

She was transported to Rockhampton Hospital, before being transferred to Brisbane.

She was in a stable condition.
