Woman hospitalised after camel attack on Capricorn Highway

A woman has been hospitalised after being hurt by a camel near a Central Queensland highway on Thursday morning.

The victim in her 60s was hit by the animal near the Capricorn Highway at Stanwell at 7.42am on May 13, according to a Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman.

Her face was injured and she was taken to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition.

Police were also on scene.
