Woman rider, 48, taken to hospital after motorcycle crash

POLICE are investigating a serious motorcycle crash that occurred in Coulson, near Boonah, yesterday afternoon.

Preliminary investigations suggest that around 3.30pm, a 48-year-old woman was travelling south along Ipswich Boonah Road on a motorcycle when she failed to negotiate a corner and left the roadway, crashing on the grassed shoulder.

The 48-year-old Collingwood Park woman was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with serious injuries.

Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit are continuing.
