WOMEN IN BUSINESS: Women add personal touch to medical care
BOLSOVER Radiology's workforce is made up of a large number of women across all roles, including administration, booking and technical personnel.
According to Chief Experience Officer Michelle Gilbert, women are statistically more likely to require their services and in many cases having a female professional, who may themselves have attended similar appointments, can help make the patient feel more comfortable when booking and attending appointments.
"Appointments such as obstetric (pregnancy) ultrasounds, bone density testing due to an increased risk of osteoporosis related fractures in women, and mammograms which are regularly used in female screening are some of the most regularly attended in our practice," Michelle said.
"Having people who have actually been there themselves and understand the process from both a professional and patient perspective definitely helps offer that extra level of care and empathy to our patients."
The practice specialises in diagnostic imaging (radiology) and a range of non-diagnostic appointments such as 3D pregnancy package and body composition scans.
The practice has been established for seven years.
Recently Bolsover Radiology consolidated their two sites to one, at their renovated and expanded location on 129 Bolsover St, Rockhampton.
As well as being a practice that bulk bills all Medicare Services, Bolsover Radiology have built a strong reputation for caring for all their patients.
