Worker transported after possible mine accident

A man in his 40s has been transported to Emerald Hospital following what was believed to be a mine accident near Middlemount.

Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed the man was attended to just before 11am thismorning.

He received head injuries as a result of a 'machinery incident' according to QAS.

The man is in a stable condition.

It is unclear where exactly the incident occurred but it is believed to have happened on a mine near Middlemount.
