Yeppoon coast guard kept busy over weekend
THE Yeppoon coast guard has been flat out this weekend, with three tows on the Capricorn Coast.
The coast guard headed out to North West Island at 1.30am this morning to tow a boat that had broken down due to gear box failure.
The tow took the coast guard over seven hours to make it back to land.
Meanwhile, they headed out earlier on Saturday to tow a boat that had overheated just outside the harbour walls and another near Five Rocks.
