Yeppoon Lions Pinefest Ambassadors raise $42,000

SEVEN wonderful people entered the 2013 Yeppoon Lions' Tropical Pinefest Ambassador Quest which raises funds for local and further afield charities and Clubs.

On Monday night, 28th October, money raised by the entrants was distributed by the Lions Club Of Yeppoon Inc. to the entrants who then passed the cheques to the charities and Clubs for whom they raised the funds.

This year the Ambassador entrants raised nearly $42,000 with Maddy Watts, the Pinefest Ambassador and Charity Ambassador having raised nearly $21,000.

The Ambassador entrants for 2013 were Sharni Burnett, Anna Durbridge, Lexie Lewington, Keegan McLay, Kylie Robinson, Maddy Watts and Marie Lucy Zonruiter.

The recipients of the $42,000 are:
Cancer Council - Capricorn Coast Group, Capricorn Coast Netball Association, Capricorn Coast SES, Leukaemia Foundation,

Lions Medical Research Foundation, Lions Childhood Cancer Research Foundation, RACQ Rescue Helicopter, SIDS For Kids, Yeppoon RSL and Yeppoon Seagulls.
