THE YEPPOON Show was another record breaker this year with 10,000 people pushing through the gates over the weekend.

Yeppoon and District Show Society secretary Desley Rial said the annual event was a huge success.

"We wanted to make this a special show because people really suffered down here from the cyclone and we wanted to give them something special," Ms Rial said.

"We had around 9000 show-goers last year which was a record in itself so to beat that this year is a great feeling," she said.

"The weather was fantastic and the entertainment was amazing on Saturday night with the night show and fireworks; you could hardly move there was that many people," she said.

"On a whole we're very pleased with the event and looking forward to planning for the next one."
