Yoga a calming activity for kids

FOR Rockhampton yoga instructor and business owner Leeann Kime, teaching children the ways of yoga is one of the most fulfilling aspects of her career.

The Well Beyond Yoga owner has been teaching youngsters for the past two years and said the feeling of helping children in such a way was rewarding.

"It teaches them about focus and concentration and it's really fun, they love it," the 51-year-old said.

"Because children are very busy, this lets them relax and calm themselves."

An internationally- trained yoga instructor and life coach, Leeann has been teaching yoga since 1999, after completing her yoga certification, and has been coaching since 2005.

Leeann has shared her passion for yoga and coaching with a wide range of clients, assisting with wellness, confidence, lifestyle and personal growth.

"I have a variety of clients and classes, so I go to their homes, in their backyard, as well as classes in the park," Leeann said.

During the years of sharing classes Leeann has shared with many their journey back to wellness from cancer, depression or lack of confidence.

She also shares with mothers and babies a special bonding time and also with kids, the fun and joy of learning and growing in their strength and confidence.

Well Beyond Yoga will be running a series of workshops titled KickStart Your Life, starting at the end of February.
