Your last chance to see Moving House at Rockhampton gallery

SEE Moving House before it moves on from the Rockhampton Art Gallery.

The popular exhibition that provides a fascinating insight into life in the suburbs is in its final weeks at the gallery.

A collaborative exhibition between artist couple Peter and Susan O'Doherty, the work is a combination of Susan's mixed media assemblage constructions of internal domestic environments and Peter's paintings of Australian suburban architecture.

The exhibition reflects the artists' respective childhoods living in families that were perpetually on the move; Susan's father an officer in the Australian Army, and Peter's a carpenter builder.

Moving House is about the houses Peter and Susan lived in, and exploring these experiences through memory and transience.

The pieces have already received many positive and emotional responses.

Moving House is on display at the gallery until June 28. Entry is free.
