MEMBERS of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health community came together yesterday to celebrate the re-opening of the allied health clinic and health support group Binbi Wadja.
The services which were formally operated under CQ Medicare Local, were reopened after joining PHN Country to Coast.
Elizabeth Doyle was among the attendees were who were very excited to have the services back in the community.
“When we stopped doing this program, I could not get motivated,” she said.
The clinic service is available to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people suffering with diabetes, chronic kidney disease, chronic respiratory disease, cardiovascular disease or cancer.
