The New South Wales government has announced a dramatic easing of COVID-19 restrictions which will come into effect from Monday, March 29.
Premier Gladys Berejiklian confirmed face masks will no longer be mandatory in any setting – including on public transport.
She advised, however, that masks are warn in situations where social distancing is not possible.
Caps on attendees at weddings and funerals will also be removed – with singing to be allowed at religious services.
Dancing and singing will be allowed to resume “in any environment” – including places of worship.
